Some of my childr...I struggle with this very thing. Some of my children have made a profession of faith, and desire to be baptized, but I am not sure they really understand the implications. They are young, and I do understand that sanctification is a process, and that they will take time to mature and to grow. I try at every opportunity to proclaim the gispel to them, to make sure they understand that they must repent, and have faith in Christ's finished work. I don'twant to make them doubt their own salvation, but as you said, I don't want to give them false assurance either. As a parent, it is so difficult knowing how to handle this issue. They have the "faith of children." I don't want to choke it out with fear of uncertainty. Not growing up in the faith, my husband and I have no models for biblical parenting. I guess my question is, should we let them be baptized? What are the criteria? Thank you, DyanAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
